These past two weekends, Nathan and I have been enjoying some free gifts. Last weekend we went to B.B.King (thanks to my Dad) and we went to the University of Georgia vs. LSU football game (thanks to Tiffany and Ben Presten.)
This past weekend, Nathan's parents came to visit! On Friday night, Nathan and I had Moe's with Jill and Russ and went to the Casting Crowns concert (courtesy of Jill Hickman.) We hung out with my 3 cute cousins on Saturday morning and enjoyed lovely homemade pumpkin goodies at a Fall party at Dragon Park and then made our way to the Frist for some art. On Saturday night, all 6 of us went to the SABRES vs. Preds game!! Sabres WON!!!
We concluded the weekend with church on Sunday morning, football, and Five Guys Burgers and Fries! It has been glorious!

the blessing of good friends...
Tonight I was blessed to enjoy some dinner and company with some amazing girls to celebrate Ms. Brittany McKinney's 23rd birthday! It consisted of 3 hours of chatting about nonsense, boys, friends, a beautiful prayer from Ms. Sharee, and ended with a warm gooey cookie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce.
One of my bestest friends will be joining Sarah ( the newest resident of Nashville, TN ) and me for a weekend filled with girlfriends, stories of life, and vino, Suzy! We will be going to PM - my favorite restaurant in Nashville - on Friday night and having dinner while catching up with each others lives, reminiscing of the days when we were each others lives and saw each other 6 or 7 times each day.
Saturday afternoon is consisting of a slip-n-slide cook out to celebrate the birth of Brittany McKinney. Baby shampoo, Hebrew National hot dogs, bubbles, balloons, PBR, and best friends - can life get better??
Sunday I am privileged enough to hear the talented Sharee Semmelbeck lead worship at her church for the last time before she makes her life changing move to New York city. After worship, I will be inspired, reminded, and comforted by Pastor Jim Thomas at The Village Chapel. Sunday night we will celebrate Beautiful Sharee and her bravery. The night will be filled with sweet memories, desserts, wine, prayers, laughs, tears, and love.
All in all, this may be one of the most incredible weekends ever. I don't think that the Lord could have provided me with more wonderful friends or planned a more perfect weekend to help remind me of how blessed I am to have the friends I have.
Side note - one year ago today, I met the love of my life at a Mexican restaurant celebrating Brittany McKinney's birthday. I could NOT be happier.

just waiting...
I went and observed at Westminster Kindergarten again today. I have my fingers crossed and prayers in place that this teaching position will work our for me next year. I would be co-teaching in a 4 year old classroom. Totally different from what I am doing now, but it would be a wonderful experience!
